Spotted Dreams Dalmatian Rescue was founded in April 2004 by Vickie Adams.  A lover of Dalmatians, as well as all animals, she saw a specialized need for someone to care for and find loving homes for this breed.  She has found homes for over 60 dogs, and is still going.  To help Vickie in her noble cause, you can send donations via PayPal to spotteddreams@comcast.net.  Anything and everything is appreciated to help Vickie continue in her noble cause.

A note from Vickie:

Dalmatians often don’t do very well in pounds or humane societies.  They either become aggresive or very shy.  They also don’t get the proper exercise that this wonderful breed needs, and are often put to sleep when they aren’t able to adopt them.  Dalmatians, I feel, are the closest thing to a human child.  I fell in love with the breed when I received Lefty, my first dalmatian.  It was then that I decided I couldn’t live without them.  Dalmatians are like potato chips, you just can’t have only one.  Vickie

 Misconceptions about Dalmatians:

Some people view dalmatians as a hyper breed.  This is not entirely true.  Dalmatians are very active, energetic animals, but with the proper exercise and care, they are wonderful additions to any family.

We’re sorry, but we cannot direct you to anyone for breeding.

  3. I’m so sorry that you had to discontinue your rescue program. It’s a huge commitment for anyone to make, can understand one could reach their limits after years of hard work and dedication.

Do you recommend any other nearby rescue group, when people are surrendering Dalmatians? Otherwise, the nearest group seems to be up in BC.
